SD Raiders Men’s Team Make History by Securing the Final Hahn Australia Cup spot

Our team clinches the ‘Final Round of 32 spot’ following a heroic victory

In one of the most memorable cup runs in history, the Football NSW League One SD Raiders Men’s team have booked their place in the Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32 after a spirited victory over NPL NSW giants Blacktown City.

The win marks uncharted territory for SD Raiders; the furthest our SD Raiders team has ever progressed in the prestigious national tournament. The result is not only a massive achievement for our senior men’s squad but a landmark moment for the entire SD Raiders football community.

The Men’s team have demonstrated sheer grit to get this far, playing brilliant and smart football. SD Raiders have experienced a remarkable Cup campaign, defeating three top-tier NPL Men’s NSW sides. They defeated cup specialists Blacktown City in Round 7, 2024 Premiers Rockdale Ilinden in Round 6, and the Wollongong Wolves in Round 5.

“This is a massive moment for our team and for us at the SD Raiders Club,” said Goran Ljuboja, Senior Men’s Head Coach who masterminded the tactically disciplined performance. “We’ve built a team that believes in itself, that’s not afraid to take the game to anyone. Every round we’ve grown stronger.”

With the win, SD Raiders join fellow League One club Northern Tigers, along with APIA Leichhardt FC and Sydney United 58, as Football NSW’s representatives in the Australia Cup Round of 32.
