SD Raiders Secure Promotion Eligibility After Play-Off Battle

SD Raiders FC have taken a massive step forward in their journey, securing a 1-0 win over Central Coast Mariners in the second leg of their play-off clash at Pluim Park.

The results gave the Raiders a 3-2 aggregate victory, confirming the Raiders’ eligibility for promotion under the 2025 Football NSW Competition Regulations.

In the first leg at home, the Raiders fought out a thrilling 2-2 draw, keeping themselves in the contest against a strong Mariners outfit.

Heading into the decisive second leg, the team knew it would take grit and determination to get the job done – and they delivered. A first-half goal gave the Raiders the edge, but the challenge intensified after halftime when the team was reduced to 10 men for the entire second half.

With everything on the line, the Raiders showed incredible discipline and heart, defending wave after wave of Mariners’ attacks to hold their lead and secure the aggregate win.

This triumph is more than just a win – it’s a reward for the hard work of the players, the dedication of the coaching and support staff, and the unwavering passion of the Raiders community.
