SD Raiders GJDL Update – Zone Football & Tournament Highlights
We are proud to share some exciting recent achievements and upcoming events involving our talented GJDL players.
⚽ Zone Football Competition – Lynwood Park
The GJDL girls recently took part in the Zone Football Competition held at Lynwood Park, proudly representing SD Raiders across multiple age groups:
U10s: Reta, Cienna, Savvina, Ava
U11s: Isabel, Arizona, Azalea, Rihanna, Asheetha, Timika
U12s: Stella, Aurora, Olivia, Layla, Sophia
It was a fantastic day of football, with strong competition across all zones. While great mates off the field, the girls brought intense focus and competitive spirit on the pitch. It was especially exciting to see our very own GJDL players battling it out against each other in such a high-level environment.
Congratulations to Horsley Zone, who claimed the overall win. Selectors kept a close eye on the talent across all matches and identified standout players for the prestigious Probables vs Possibles playoff.
We’re thrilled to announce that Stella, Sophia, Aurora, Isabel, Asheetha, and Rihanna were selected for the playoff.
Even more impressively, Stella, Sophia, and Aurora (all from U12s) have been selected to represent South South West (SSW) at the upcoming Ballina Football Tournament. A huge achievement and a proud moment for the club—well done girls!
